Mt. Carmel began this year's Sunday school programs on September 9th.
Sunday School time is scheduled to be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each Sunday unless otherwise noted in the bulletin. We offer classes ranging from 3 years old up to 123 years old. Classes are broken down in the following manner:
- Pre-K class: ages 3 - 5 that are not currently enrolled in a Kindergarten class.
- K - 1st grade:
- 2nd - 3rd grade:
- 4th - 5th grade:
- Middle School Class: For those who are currently in the 6th - 8th grades of school.
- Senior High Class: For those who are currently in the 9th - 12th grades of school.
We also have two adult classes. Mark Welchley facilitates the one class that meets all year long. They are currently finishing up discussion on the 7 deadly sins and will be moving onto another very interesting topic in the next several weeks. This class has many opportunities to discuss how to apply Biblical teachings to our current times.
Andrew McClure will facilitate the second adult class this year. It will be following a lesson written by John MacArthur called "Experiencing the Passion of Christ: God's Purpose Behind Christ's Pain." It focuses on the events and "why" questions leading up to and through the crucifixion. This class will start September 16th. A sign-up sheet will be in the narthex so Andrew knows how many people he will need to prepare for this year.
